It’s that time of year again – Safehouse Work Day at 0930 until complete. In preparation for the upcoming spring events, we need to get some basic house cleaning and attack a few projects. The refurbished porch now has a set of stairs leading off the side towards the pavilion, problem is that last step is rather high – need something to assist; open to suggestions wood, block, or cement. The interior of the house needs a good spring cleaning, not that it’s a pigsty – just needs a good thorough spring cleaning. We will be gathering tires for the target area between now and 13 MAR and will need folks to help stack them so that Shane can bring the tractor to add sand into the stacked tires. A couple of other odds and ends; hay bales down range or spread in bare ground spots, garden weeding, etc.Bottom line we’ll need about 10 -15 folks, based on some of the tasks age is not an issue. No, we’re not talking about us old guys; lil ones can pick weeds or spread hay if you’re looking for a day out. Food will be provided for everyone’s efforts. Project leaders will be identified on site the day of unless volunteered sooner.
